Dream Life Revenue Calculator
Your business shouldn't dictate
the life you're allowed to have.
Start with the life you actually want. We'll work backwards to the revenue number your business needs to hit to sustainably fund it, with personal tax, super and GST included, not ignored.
Every figure here is an estimate for planning purposes, not personal financial, tax or legal advice. See the disclaimer at the end.
Design your dream life
Don't enter your current salary and see how it splits. Decide what you'd genuinely love available in each area, and we'll work out what income that actually requires.
The money required to comfortably fund everyday life.
"If money weren't the limitation, what would comfortable everyday life look like?"
Break it down (optional)
Money intentionally set aside for happiness, experiences and enjoyment, not leftover money.
"What experiences would make your life genuinely richer and more enjoyable?"
Money available to share with other people or causes: gifts, generosity, giving back.
"How would you love to share your wealth if generosity were already built into your budget?"
Investment in your own and your family's growth: courses, coaching, education, learning.
"What would you invest in if your growth had its own guaranteed budget?"
Fuel for what's next: freedom funds, dream goals, future bets on yourself.
"What are you building, saving for or dreaming about next?"
The take-home income required
Enter your dream-life numbers above to see the personal take-home income they require.
Where you are today (optional)
Translate that into your company-funded salary
Your take-home is what lands in your account after tax. Your company needs to pay a higher gross salary, plus super on top, to fund it. This is an estimate only, using Australian resident tax rates.
Tax & super settings
Uses 2026–27 Australian resident tax brackets. Does not model HELP/HECS, Medicare Levy Surcharge, offsets, deductions, private health, Division 293, or other individual circumstances. Confirm your real position with your accountant.
The business revenue required
Using a Profit First-style allocation, work out how much revenue the business needs to generate to fund your owner package sustainably, not just cover your salary and hope for the best.
Profit First allocation (example starting point, not advice)
Personal income tax is already accounted for inside your gross salary in Stage 3. This Business Tax allocation is a separate business tax reserve. Adjust it with your accountant for your entity structure.
What it actually costs to run the business
Advanced business costs: direct costs / cost of sales
If part of your sales price passes straight through to subcontractors, materials or production, add it here. This distinguishes your Total Sales Revenue from your Profit First "Real Revenue".
Where you are today (optional)
Your dream life has a number.
Let's find it.
GST
GST collected isn't income. It's shown separately so you know what needs to flow through the business account versus what's actually revenue.

The next question
You know the number. Can the business produce it?
Getting from the life you want to the revenue it needs relies on what the business actually earns and keeps. The Mini Audit shows me what your numbers are really saying.
