Capital Status
Terms and Conditions
The terms of using this website.
Effective 25 October 2026
These terms explain the conditions that apply when you use our website, access our resources or purchase services through it. Capital Status is operated by a sole trader under ABN 75 620 046 969, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. By using this website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by law.
Our website
The website provides information about our practice, services, approach to financial operations and resources. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and current, but can't guarantee all content will be complete, accurate or available at all times. Information on this website is subject to our Disclaimer.
Professional services
Capital Status provides financial operations, bookkeeping and business financial analysis services, including the Xero Audit, the Onboarding Intensive and ongoing private client engagements. The scope, fees, responsibilities and conditions of each engagement are set out in the relevant booking terms, proposal or service agreement. Where these website terms and an accepted service agreement differ, the service agreement applies to that service, subject to the law. Regulated tax agent and BAS services are provided by appropriately registered practitioners under the relevant arrangements.
The Xero Audit
The Xero Audit is an initial review of the financial and accounting information in your nominated Xero organisation. Its purpose is to identify matters needing attention and understand the current state of your financial records and operations.
It is not a financial statement audit, an assurance engagement or a certification that your records are accurate or complete. It does not include correcting the issues identified, historical reconciliations, lodgements or ongoing support unless expressly agreed.
Price and payment. The Xero Audit is $250 plus GST ($275 including GST), paid in full at the time of booking through Stripe.
Access. To complete the review, you will need to give us appropriate access to your nominated Xero organisation and any information reasonably required. You must have the authority to give that access. If the access or information needed isn't available, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
Changes and cancellations. To cancel or reschedule, email admin@capitalstatus.com.au as soon as you can. The booking terms you accept when you book set out the conditions that apply. If we are unable to provide the agreed service, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include rescheduling or a refund.
After the audit. The Xero Audit is a standalone service. Completing it creates no obligation to continue with the Onboarding Intensive or an ongoing engagement. Any further work is discussed and agreed separately.
Fees
Unless stated otherwise, prices on our website are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. Where a service is purchased online, the total including GST is shown before payment. Fees for the Onboarding Intensive and ongoing private client services are confirmed in your proposal or service agreement. Published pricing may change, but a change won't alter the agreed price of an existing engagement unless its terms allow or we both agree.
Our resources and calculators
Our guides, resources and calculators are provided for general information and planning. You may use them for your own personal or internal business purposes. You must not reproduce, commercially distribute, sell, republish or present them as your own without our written permission, except as permitted by law. The calculators rely on the information you enter and are not an independent verification of any financial or commercial outcome.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the content, resources, writing, graphics, branding and design on this website belong to Capital Status or are used with permission. Using the website doesn't transfer ownership of any of it. You're welcome to share links to our public content, provided you don't misrepresent its source, alter its meaning or imply an endorsement that hasn't been given.
Your responsibilities
When using our website or services, you agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, to give access to records, accounts and personal information only where you have the authority to do so, and not to interfere with the operation or security of our website or systems. Further responsibilities may apply under your service agreement.
Third-party platforms
Our website and processes use third-party platforms, including Squarespace, Stripe, Dubsado and Xero. Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. This doesn't limit any responsibility we have under the law for the services we provide or arrange.
Website availability
We may update, change or temporarily suspend parts of the website to maintain or improve it. We take reasonable steps to keep it available and secure, but uninterrupted access can't be guaranteed.
Liability and consumer rights
We take reasonable care with the information and resources on this website, but general content and calculators are not a substitute for advice that considers your circumstances. To the extent permitted by law, Capital Status is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website information where that reliance is unreasonable in the circumstances. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Rights and responsibilities for paid professional services are also set out in the relevant engagement agreement.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Subject to the law, disputes about these terms may be brought before the courts of Queensland and other courts with jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our website, services or legal obligations change. The current version will be on this page with its effective date. Updated terms apply going forward and don't replace the agreed conditions of an existing paid engagement.
